Tron Legacy, Captain America, The Green Hornet, Final Destination 5
Tron Legacy's plot revolves around Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and is pulled into the digital world of Tron where his father has been living for 25 years. Tron Legacy is directed by first-time filmmaker Joseph Kosinski. The screenplay was co-written by Adam Horowitz ("Lost"), Richard Jefferies (Blood Tide, Living Hell), Edward Kitsis ("Lost"), and the director of the original movie, Steven Lisberger. Tron Legacy to theaters in 3D starting on December 17th, 2010. Now, I wanted to present a full photo gallery of brand new Tron Legacy photos and concept art for your viewing pleasure. This stuff is awesome to see. Enjoy!
Chris Evans' Captain America costume renderings have been released. However, they're only early concept art, merely "artist renderings" of what the Captain America costume will look like in the movie. As we all know, Chris Evans stars as Steve Rogers, the soldier who takes the super serum and eventually becomes Captain America and helps fight the Germans in WWII.
Captain America: The First Avenger is being directed by Joe Johnston, most recently of The Wolfman, and starts shooting this summer mostly in Europe. The film takes place during WWII and will follow Cap's escapades on the European battlefronts, including encountering a diabolical scientist Arnim Zola (played by Toby Jones) and an evil villain named Red Skull (played by Hugo Weaving). Also in the cast: Hayley Atwell as Cap's love interest Peggy Carter, Sebastian Stan as Cap's WWII sidekick Bucky Barnes, Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, and Tommy Lee Jones as well.
The Green Hornet is about a newspaper publisher Britt Reid who moonlights as a masked crimefighter called The Green Hornet accompanied by his similarly masked valet, martial arts expert Kato. Despite his heroic intentions, he is considered so disreputable among legitimate law enforcement that he is able to talk casually with known criminals and even do business with them. Seth Rogen stars as Britt Reid, A.K.A. Green Hornet, and Jay Chou stars as his sidekick Kato. They're joined by Cameron Diaz, Tom Wilkinson, Edward James Olmos and Christoph Waltz as the bad guy.
The Green Hornet is directed by visionary French filmmaker Michel Gondry, who (in addition to numerous music videos and commercials) previously directed Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep, Dave Chappelle's Block Party and Be Kind Rewind. The screenplay was co-written by Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogen, of Pineapple Express and Superbad. This is based on the classic characters created by George W. Trendle and Fran Striker in the 1930s, known best as a TV series in the 60's with Van Williams & Bruce Lee. Sony is bringing The Green Hornet to theaters (in 3D) starting on next year January 14th.
The Green Hornet Theatrical Trailer
Final Destination 5 is now known as 5NAL DESTINATION. Oh, boy....
James Cameron protege Eric Heisserer would be making his directorial debut with this disaster movie. Apparently the opening sequence in this will involve a suspension bridge collapsing. If you've seen any of these movies before, you'll know that a bunch of people who were supposed to die at the beginning later get killed off in crazy ways, so now we know the setup for it. 5nal Destination already has an August 26th, 2011 release date. This may just be a tentative title that could change, but I'll let you know if it does. The screenplay was written by Eric Heisserer (Nightmare on Elm Street & The Thing reboots). Craig Perry & Warren Zide, who produced the other four Final Destination movies, are producing this one as well.
